Halfway point week two/Punto medio de mi segunda semana

Estoy en el punto medio de mi segunda semana en Guatemala. Guatemala es un país hermoso con un montón de grandes personas y la historia natural. El español está saliendo bien. Yo estoy hablando más que cuando llegué por primera vez. Además, mi vocabulario y la gramática se ha expandido.

 Las personas son casi, sin excepción, agradables. Es muy fácil hablar con extraños en Antigua. La mayoría son pacientes con lento aprendizaje como yo. La comida es muy fresca aquí. Hay muchas fincas circa de Antigua, aunque también muchas pobres. La vida silvestre aquí es diferente y bastante abundante. Es notable la cantidad de vegetación, en la ciudad y granjas y bosques tambien. ¡Otra noticia en uno o dos diás!

I am at the halfway point of my second week in Guatemala. Guatemala is a beautiful country with a lot of great people and natural history. The Spanish is coming along well. Albeit slowly. But I am definitely speaking more than when I first arrived. Also, my vocabulary and grammar has expanded. 

People are almost without exception friendly. It is very easy to talk with strangers in Antigua. Most are patient with slow learners like me. The food is very fresh here. There are many farms surrounding Antigua, although also a lot of people barely getting by. The wildlife here is also different and rather abundant. It is remarkable how much green, farms and forest, there is in and around the city. ¡Another update in a day or so!

Did the Blessed Virgin Mary See the Resurrected Jesus?

According to the Bible, it is unknown whether or not Jess appeared to his mother, Mary. However, according to tradition, Jesus appeared to his mother. This is known in Hispanic cultures as the encuentro --the encounter.  While Scripture does not describe any post-Resurrection appearances of Jesus to His Mother, Mary, many saints have speculated that Jesus did appear to His Mother. For example, as Pope Saint John Paul II once remarked: The Gospels mention various appearances of the risen Christ, but not a meeting between Jesus and his Mother. When Vaccination Is An Act of Charity

Statement of the U.S. Bishops : The “gravity” of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and “the lack of availability of alternative vaccines,” are “sufficiently serious” reasons to accept the Pfizer/ BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, the chairmen of the U.S. bishops’ doctrine and pro-life committees said Dec. 14, 2020. “Receiving the COVID-19 vaccine ought to be understood as an act of charity toward the other members of our community,” they said. “In this way, being vaccinated safely against COVID-19 should be considered an act of love of our neighbor and part of our moral responsibility for the common good.” The bishops addressed the moral concerns raised by the fact the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have some connection to cell lines that originated with tissue taken from abortions.
